Seeing a nice bike with flat pedals on it used to elicit a groan and a “C’mon man” under my breath until my knee operation

I was able to clip in comfortably in about three months, and I still do on any road bike and my cross-country mountain bike, But I have been spending a lot of time on a big burly long travel E bike lately and I like riding it unfettered so much that I purchased some very nice Shimano Saint flat pedals for it. Have a pair in the box for the short travel bike also. Kind of refreshing just to go for a quick spin and not having to change clothes to do so
