they did really great work and I wish they were still around, they provided a valuable service.

I have a bike painted by CycleArt - white Raleigh Pro - and it's absolutely spectacular, with multi color panels, matching fenders etc.

"better than new" but that's a common end state even with car restorers. I get the "defense radar up" angle. There were some stories.

But overall I wish they were still in business, and I understand why they are not.
