Bikes: 2005 Trek Navigator 100, 2016 Trek FX 7.3

I have a Trek FX 7.3 that came with Bontrager Satellite IsoZone Plus, but I still have hand numbness and have tried a variety of gloves. Would adding vertical bar end grips help?
