Yeah, there's a setting to change it from full screen to windowed mode. Several people have suggested to George (the software writer) that it's better to start in windowed mode because it's hard to figure out how to quit without hitting escape and people feel locked in, but he prefers to play in full screen (and says your computer will give better performance in full screen because it's not trying to also power the graphics for other windows), so he doesn't feel it's an issue. As someone who likes to have a music player app open and streaming and discord, I like windowed to be able to run all that stuff. I can't remember where it is, one of the settings menus.
