The ninth prototype was all fiberglass, entire frame was one casting.
The item the student designed was the fiberglass knuckle that holds the cargo platform to the head tube. This is the best video that shows it.
NOTE NB: the fiberglass is deliberately left unpainted so adhesive can stick to it.
This project has taken more than 30 years
