Consider overhauling your hubs (removing bearings, cleaning bearings, replacing worn-out bearings, greasing the bearings, repacking everything). The bearings in the hubs can get worn. When they get worn, they can damage the hub.

This can be a difficult job the first time (it took me several hours), so you may want to take it to your LBS. If you don't already have the correct tools, you will need to go there anyway. I followed the instructions in Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance.

If you do it yourself, make sure it's when the LBS is open. That way, you can buy more bearings if needed.

Also, grease your seat post, and take apart, clean, and grease your jockey wheels.
