I have Mavic CXP 30 rims with Mavic hubs on my '89 Ironman, courtesy of Robbie Tunes. Great wheelset. I'm no longer fast enough for the aero rims to matter much, but they stay true longer than most lighter weight rims of that era, including the original Araya CTL-370 and Wolber Alpine Super Champion lightweight low profile rims of that era. Both rear rims on my older Araya and Wolber wheels cracked (spokes pulled through) a couple of years ago after many years of use. But the Mavic CXP 30 will probably outlive me.

Yeah, the deeper CXP rims may not look period correct, but I'll go with reliability now.
