I should have started this thread a couple days ago. Or yesterday.

But anyway, I want to get my grandson a new bike but don't want to rely on the bike shop's recommendation. What type of bike should I get for a 6 y/o? All I'm familiar with is the Roadie type I ride, I never had reason to look at anything else.

Considering how fast he's growing it's foolhardy to get anything too "serious", but I don't want a Walmart class bike, do I? He's 4 feet tall now with a 23" inseam. Growing like a weed.
