Interesting in that my situation is the exact opposite - more riding (outdoors anyway) means more pain. But arthritis is a primary driver in my case so that is very different. I believe that it is the vibration that is the culprit in my case. Foam hot water pipe (the wrap-around sleeve kind) is helpful in my case.

ps. Years ago I was having significant wrist pain on riding to the point that RD shifting was difficult after an hour or so. Simply changing to gloves with better padding resolved that completely.
