I thought meniscus surgery didn't have that great a success rate. I can't remember my source, though.
Cortisone, or have you already tried that? In my case, the doc couldn't tell me if my pain was from the torn meniscus or arthritis and recommended cortisone. I'm very happy to be able to say it worked, If you haven't tried it, talk to your doc.
