That's a shame!
Of course, light stuff was never intended to last long, so perhaps it was always destined to end up as a cool shiny object on the shelf??

Front hubs have an easy life by comparison, and my old Hi-E hub has found a home on my 753 Raleigh Team bike....

I've made a few other minor weight weenie concessions on the bike... a titanium Brooks Swift saddle, alloy nipples on the front wheel, a Phil titanium bottom bracket, an American Classic seatpost (a relatively inexpensive 27.4mm post), a Stronglight A9 headset, and some aluminum bits for the rear Campy QR that local machinist/cyclist fellow Jack Welch made back in the day.
