ThanksNo I wouldn't recommend keeping this scooter stock and so replacing the old dead lead batteries with new ones.Because people are having some good luck installing lithium and over volting with new controllers and variable throttle-instead of the on off OEM throttle. This increases the oem top speed from 15mph to 20mph or more. 20 is the limit in my state and many for e-scooters. Plus it boosts acceleration, hill climbing and reduces oem gauge wire resistance and range.
