A few people essentially said "yes, the difference is xxxx and it's worth $10 because it's only $10, and $10 is such a small amount it's hardly worth worrying about". That IS staying on topic. Then YOU started spouting off about how $10 IS worth worrying about to you, so you are at fault just as much as those you are flaming. Get a grip and just admit you're being overly sensitive.
It's admirable that you say you're trying to keep discussions 'on topic', but in fact you're just trying to enforce your view of what's topical and what isn't. Leave that job up to the moderators.
By the way, it's great that you've got your medical bills covered. Now maybe you can focus on where your next meal is coming from. After all, you can't eat a new crank.
