The newer models have almost no parts on the board.. just the integrated circuit.
I did have troubles on one or two... maybe the 30 or another of that era?... that had a case that snapped together. The display would lose some connections unless you squeezed the two halves of the housing together. A rubber band (or a slice from an old inner tube) would do the trick sometimes.

The newer ones are probably ultrasonically welded together, and there's no practical way to get those apart.
