One would use a generic "file manager" app to copy the file (those apps don't care what the file is).

Yes. This problem is quickly not going to be a "Samsung" issue. Tech support won't know anything beyond that (and they aren't getting money to do much more). So, they gave a vague answer so you go away.

You can download the GPX file from the CycleTrips website as a file. You really don't need an app for this.
