Specialized is a tough one - they have minimum advertised prices and region restrictions. Any sale essentially needs to come down the line from Specialized, unless you happen to find a shop terminating their relationship with Spec and closing out their inventory. Your best bet for getting anything off might be to ingratiate yourself with your local dealer and see if they'll cut you 10% or something.
I agree with what you say and have observed. I never actually thought I would like a Specialized tire so much but here we are. We used to have a 20% off deal for our Trail Club but when Covid came around, they scrapped that due to supply issues. We are trying to revive it.
