In terms of Unior vs. Park it is two different kinds of apples. Unior is basically Euro-Park and Park is basically Uni'merica. My choices in truing stands would be P&K Lie, Aivee or that new Abbey stand but those are quite expensive and maybe not worth it for the average person but golly gosh they are purdy and since I am not putting it away and hiding it I want it to be a good display piece as well as being super functional and precise.
I would go Park if I was in the U.S. and Unior if in the E.U. and probably be happy with either if I was looking for a fine stand that is a little more cost effective but still a solid shop piece.
Thanks for mentioning the gold-plated truing stands. Lol, I think I'd be embarrassed to own the Aivee. That's the one for doctors and dentists (no offense to the M.Ds and DDS's here) who own four Moot's bikes and hardly ever ride even one. From their website:
