You may simply have a non issue in ACTUAL USE.
Well, they're very similar. The right one comes in at the VERY slightly different angle, so slight that it was very hard to see the difference, but it's there. As for "perpendicular" it seems to me that would depend on the width of the wheel. But yes, a very, very slight difference in angle. And it could be just that the plastic tip needs a little snugging.
