This Santa Cruz-built Bontrager Race Lite OR mountain bike was purchased new at Joselyn’s Bicycle Shop in Monterey, CA in February 1993 (see invoice). It is a medium (15” seat tube) and has the top-of-the-line Shimano XTR groupset (front and rear derailleurs, triple crankset, bottom bracket, 8-speed cassette, and hubs laced to Mavic SUP wheels) Sale includes original documents (invoice, owner’s manual, advertising) and original Bontrager stem and headset, and original Manitou Answer Easton E9 Suspension Fork, 1-inch Threaded. Original purchase price: $1655. UPGRADES: Marzocchi Z3 BAM 1-inch threadless fork with 80mm of travel (w/documents and extra set of springs). Chris King headset, FSA OS 170 stem, Ritchey Pro Handlebars. Sram Attack Shifters. Geax AKA XC 2.2 tires. Raceface Chester pedals. The paint is the original deep purple and silver.
