I presume you can do this on laptops, PCs, Androids, etc. On iPads (and iPhones), you can set certain keystrokes to be replaced with particular images or figures. On the web, I’ve found all the images I like to use…CO₂, H₂O, ¼, ⅓, ¾, etc. In the iPad settings, I set the various keystrokes to be replaced with this image or figure that I’ve set for it. So, for example, when I type “CO2,” it automatically gets replaced with “CO₂” I suppose you could also do it with functions such as italics, bold, underline, etc.
