Yep. It's pretty freaky going into their areas on foot or on bike watching empty cars driving around. Waymo has big ol Jaguars, Cruise runs some smaller car I think they're Chevy, I've only seen them a couple times in Scottsdale, i see the Waymos everytime I go downtown for a ball game.
at night, they're a very substantial portion of the cars in our neighborhood. my colleagues who signed up for the beta say the service is really great - very predictable arrival times, short waits, and strangely they don't seem bothered by the fact that the cars obey all laws. no speeding, no rolling stops, but apparently it doesn't slow the trips down much. i've been impressed how much they've learned about the behavior of cyclists in the last few months.
now if only they could stop getting confused by emergency vehicles
