worry about descending tuna canyon on old school brakes. my rims hot as hades too. once past the oak trees and pitching down hard along the edge of the canyon, it ratchets up the "fun." descending deer creek much the same (and lower decker) but sightlines better.
yeah - I think I'll try my gravel bike with slick-ish tires next time. That bike has disc brakes (and lower gearing for the uphill)
