Doc, I don't hate you anymore .

More time with my wife, more time in the Atelier, and more time to ride.
I did 4 years in data science, then about 35 in DSP in the semiconductor industry (TRW LSI Products, Raytheon Semiconductors, Fairchild, Logic Devices Inc., Pulse~Link, etc.). I am enjoying my encore career teaching upper division and graduate level courses in electrical engineering and computer science. I make about half as much money as I could in industry, but I don't miss the unrelenting pressure I experienced in a couple of startups I worked for. I don't blame you for hanging it up. My (Hewlett-Packard lifer, 1985 IEEE president) uncle's advice, which he himself followed, was to retire when work was no longer fun.
