Why don't you check out your local bike shop and see what they recommend. At least you'll have their estimate of the costs to give you something to go by. Owner operated bike shops might give you the better deal as opposed to some of the big bike shop chains that are in some large cities.

While rims are relatively inexpensive, the spokes can add up if you have to change them because the rim is different. Might be better to just get a entirely new wheel. Which is probably what the bike shop will tell you if the bend is actually a bend and not just a warp that can be adjusted out.
