My preferred solvent is Simple Green in its most dilute cleaning recommendation.

I reuse an appropriately sized ziplock food bag (so many things come in ultra-tough ziplock plastic bags these days that we are just expected to throw away ) to hold it all. Keeps the ultrasonic cleaner clean and reduces the amount of solvent needed.
