It is starting to come back to me now. I originally set this up several months ago before finding and having to remedy another show-stopper. Now that the bike has been ridden the cables have bedded in and I need to go through the procedure again. There is only really 3 adjustments H-limit, L-limit, and chain tension. The chain tension (T-trim) has the marks on the FD to line up. I found this YT video which I think explains everything correctly if you can get past the accent! :-)

I also find it interesting that I am sure that Shimano intends the small ring / largest cog to be a valid combination yet you may need the L-trim position to make it work correctly.
