Handlebar tape question
In trying to keep my 1989 Vitus 979 100% French I'm looking for French made cork bar tape that was available in the 80s. I've found that BikeRibbon introduced thicker bar tape in the 70s, and Cinelli introduced cork tape in 1987, but both are Italian made. I've also found that both Velox and Vetta sold a cork tape, but were these available as early as 1989? Were there other French companies making thicker bar tape by 1989?
