It's amazing what people are willing to pay for NOS old or mid-school BMX items, or even used items in good condition. New in packaging goes for the most money, but older good used can still fetch $15-$20 a ring.
I saw these Tuf-Necks at a co-op in LA last month and told the staff of their potential value on eBay. They said "buy them at our prices and sell them online to raise money for your co-op." Which I then did.
A year or so ago, we got a modest womens bicycle donated - but it had an original Diamond Back pillow block BMX stem on it. We swapped the stem and made a fast $50 and still had the bike itself to sell or work trade. And the buyer was local, which resulted in additional contacts for moving items of interest.
