The freewheel appeared clean and unused, so there was plenty of grease inside and the bearings did not pop out when it opened. Capturing everything was no problem, and I suspect the freewheel can be reassembled. It is all sitting in a plastic cup on my workbench. The core did not put up much of a fight coming off the hub, so it did not get destroyed when I put it in the clamp.
