I will have to give a it try. So only before bed? Any reason you could not do it before a ride? Currently I use the water nasal flush before going on a ride.

I found those nasal strips do help me sleep better at night.
I was doing this just after the state decided that pseudoephedrine was was bad because it could be made into meth. So about 12 - 15 years ago IIRC. Pseudoephedrine was about the only OTC decongestant that worked well for me. So desperate for something I looked at some of the homeopathic sites and saw some saying that drinking organic apple cider vinegar helped them with sinus inflammation and that it seemed to thin the mucous. So I gave it a try and it seemed to help. Of course organic apple cider vinegar was claimed to cure everything if you look around at various sites. So even my result might be more placebo. And certainly circumstantial and anecdotal at best. Whether it was placebo or not, it didn't seem to matter what type vinegar I used. It seemed to keep the thick snot from collecting in my throat and causing me to snore.

Vinegar before your ride? I don't know. Try it. Might take some getting use to if you don't like vinegar and oil salad dressings. I use to use the nasal strips for sleeping too. But they never helped the snoring. I was 20 - 25 pounds heavier back then. As I lost that weight for good, things got better in the snoring department and my wife quit poking me all night long so I eventually quit the bedtime routine of vinegar and water before bed time.
