1973 Colnago Super, 62cm ctc, top tube 59cm ctc, built from Columbus SL tubing, with matching frame pump.
A superb bike, Colnago Super frames of this generation are great to ride, and make climbing enjoyable. The bike is geared to easily handle long climbs very well, thanks to the climbing gearing of 39/34. Descents are like magic. The 700c x 28 Continental Gatorskin tires are excellent, even on gravel.
This bike handles. It is a thoroughbred Italian steed and rides incredibly well.
Fully restored with beautiful Joe Bell custom paint in an original Colnago color, Salmon Metallic, with correct decals and matching frame pump.
Built with 1973 First Generation Shimano Dura-Ace Black group, including the excellent Dura-Ace high flange hubs. Most components were New-Old-Stock (NOS) when the bike was built up. This is one of the finest vintage groups available.
