Funny you say that. I also have the new Master X Light, and it was not smooth either. It's "choppy" for lack of a better term. It took a lot of extra work to get the ride somewhat pleasant, but I am just about there. It's my stiffest bike that I own by a large margin in that everything on the road goes at Warp Speed straight into your skeleton. It is very stable however. Just between you and I, it's more show than go.
