A little pricey, but looks pretty clean and well cared for. Appreciate the full description too.

1973 Gitane Tour De France Road Bike 60cm Club Green 531 $400 St. Paul, MN

Facebook MN Gitane TdF

1973 Gitane Tour De France. "Club Green", Reynolds 531, 60cm c-c. Best for riders 5'11-6'1". Seat tube is 60cm c-c, 61.5 c-t. 58cm top tube c-c, 33 3/4" stand-over height. Just completed preservation, overhaul and conditioning. Some paint scratches, but overall in very nice condition with no dents or damage. The "Club Green" paint really pops in the sun and has a nice patina. Chromed fork tips and rear stays are perfect with no rust and the decals have survived pretty well. The combination of the geometry and the Reynolds 531 tubing on these TDF bikes makes them light (23.4lb), agile and comfortable. I've been riding one since 1995 and it's probably my favorite bike. The original tubular (sew-up) rims were swapped out for 700c 23mm wide Super Champion alloy clinchers. With the 700c wheels, 700x30 max tire width, 25/26c with fenders, single eyelets for fenders/racks front and rear. Also added some parts in the spirit of the original ones including a nicely broken in Ideale leather saddle, early Laprade fluted seatpost, NOS Hunt Wilde white genuine denim cotton bar tape, Suntour Cyclone front derailleur and new 700x28c Michelin Dynamic Classic tires/tubes. See full component specs below. Cash or Venmo. Thanks for looking! Specs: Frame/Fork: Reynolds 531, Prugnat medium point lugs, fish mouth open brazed stay and fork ends, Forged Simplex dropouts, chromed lower rear chainstays/steastays.
