Eyes roll, yes, I could change my phone, but I try to make my electronics last as long as possible. I prefer to keep them out of landfills and I'm thinking a dedicated GPS seems to be more reliable.
The big advantage to the Edge series is they come with a direct link to RWGPS. If you create a route in RWGPS and pin it, it shows up in the navigation list on the device. You use a BT connection to the Garmin Connect Mobile app on a phone/tablet and the route goes right to the device. No cable connection required.
