Are you doing single track or just dirt/gravel roads? If the latter, get some slicks like gravelkings or Strada Bianca. All of the dirt I do around here is on slicks and it’s more than enough.
With me having to ride at 4 am it’s only roads at the moment. I don’t ride the checkpoint since it’s so damn slow with the current tires on pavement. Was asking Jax how his tires were, current plan is to get another wheelset to put all road tires on and to use on the road and light gravel and keep the other wheelset for gravel gravel. You know my schedule who knows when I will ever get to ride a true gravel ride.
Didn’t think about it until I bought the checkpoint but I should bought another emonda ALR frame with ultegra Di2 and just built another bike. At the time I had the parts for it and I would have used the crashed emonda strictly for racing. OH well. I didn’t need another road bike, and I didn’t have a gravel bike so here we are.
