A few things stand out to me.

-Use of the term “spoke bolts” concerns me that you have no idea what you’re doing, and you could probably damage the wheels, not fix them.

- You said that they’re true, why mess with it?

- The length of thread on a spoke doesn’t need to be uniform, as long as the spokes are the correct length. They could be perfect, you can’t gauge anything based on exposed thread.

- Have you checked spoke tension?
