My rain bike is carbon wheels with rim brake. I too run superteams with the carbon pads it came with and I have no issues with stopping. I wouldn’t want to take it on long descents but if it’s flat where you live I think it would fine. If I could do it again I would buy the superteams with aluminum brake track, not because of stopping power just think the rims would last a lot longer.
