I just ran a spoke into the 12,14, and 16mm DT nipples I have and came up with similar results to your pics. I didn’t really take that into account, and of course function comes first. Running spoke into the 14 got to perhaps halfway up the screwdriver slot, and the 16 was only at the bottom of the slot. Thanks for reminding me of this. I am swapping over to some NOS Module 58s. It is kinda a treat to play with new straight rims. As I was just getting kinda snugged up, the spoke was perhaps 2mm below the slot. I might be perfect once done.
