Funny you should mention. I have a set of mouse cochlea samples from Stanford that we need to digest, dilute and analyze for trace gold. Some sort of gold nanoparticle based therapeutic. Downside with some of these external submissions is that we don't know the details of the project, which can sometimes be quite interesting. My job (for this project) is to destroy the samples and figure out how much gold ended up in there. Don't know if it was systemic/IV or locally applied.
