We finally resolved a roof replacement claim with State Farm after more than a year. We told the roofer that we wanted to do the work in January so we can get past the holidays. Now they want to push it up to next week. Not sure I want all of that the week before Christmas!

On the other hand, my daughter started a remodel job on their master bath last week, and had to move out of their house to do so, so I wouldn't be as inconvenienced as she is.
