One of the downsides of an enclosed chain is that if something goes wrong it will be much more expensive to repair. Think about something as mundane as a flat tire. I am an experienced bike mechanic. Fixing a rear flat on a bike like that would be a nightmare for me. It would take several times as many hours and cost several times as many dollars
