The solid center rib provides a smooth and quiet ride on pavement, but the tire can handle some off-pavement stuff with the side tread blocks, especially if you air them down just a little bit. The 47-622 size under the 28" product heading would be the size appropriate for your Verve.
Also love the Travel Contacts which have changed slightly since I got mine in 2015-16
