Then again the bike I miss from the recent post was a wonderful friend and a piece of art, IMHO. Some things cannot be replaced but still missed. I knew every scratch and every quirk of every part of my bike. So much so that its replacement, which I still have, is very similar: 1976 Motobecane Grand Record with all Campy components. I may be a bit too sentimental, but I have had bikes that were very special indeed. I have many other bikes but some are good friends for the long haul.
