I've used them years ago, both as tail and headlights. Withstood crappy weather. The black rubber envelope semi-loosely wraps around the electronics -- I wouldn't use these as diving lights
(perhaps use some weak glue to seal the envelope?)
Perhaps purchase a few and test in the shower, and then bath. I'll read your report with considerable interest
