They are 2.1’s
I haven’t measured the clearance but there is plenty of it. The 2.1s are a popular size tire. Check out the site bikerebuilds.com for other inspiration.

I see they make a 26x2.1 in those but believe there's also a 26x2.25 -- so just wondering which you have and how much clearance there is?
