In the ad for that Allez the seller says he is 6"2"with a 34" inseam and the bike is a 57 cm -- so the long seat post is explained by the fact that the bike is way too small for the seller. Of greater concern is his statement in the ad "Pop-can shim in the seatpost. Required due to manufacturing tolerances between then and now." Hmmm -- nope -- he almost certainly fit a too-small diameter seat post -- if one were interested a close examination of the seat lug is warranted.
