Started Clearing New Trails Today
There's still a fair amount of snow on the ground here, but we started getting ready for the upcoming season by clearing some new singletrack today. Mainly cutting brush, branches and small trees, since we can't get at the ground yet. The plan was to work for three hours and pick up on the rest next weekend, but we had 11 volunteers show up, armed with bow saws and lopers, and ended up blazing through the whole section in less than two hours.
Sunny weather. 40 degrees. Being out in the woods. Sure makes winter a little more tolerable.
Here's to spring fever.
