Rode again today as sun and warmth still lingering from the weekend (although rained yesterday). I took the same Merckx Pro as Saturday, pictured above, on essentially the same route. Not much new except noteworthy because as I finished up the ride, navigating through a muddy section to turn onto a bike path on the UVA Grounds, another Merckx passed exiting the path. Faema colors. Pretty unusual for my small town. I waved and said something like “2 Merckx at the same time” or similarly dorky. He smiled and waved, much as I would have, not hearing a word he said. I don’t think he noticed my bike.
