I have ownly almost lost a bike; the perpetrator was in my garage with one of my bikes in his hands and a tire pump when I walked in on him. I had left the garage door opened while doing the laundry and left to go get something. 10 more seconds and bam it would have been gone. Funny thing that got him caught, I had two other bikes sitting there that he also liked, so he got stucked trying to figure out which one he wanted to take. It was what I saw when I walked in on him, he kept looking at the bike in his hand and then at the others. Lucky me that day, now I never leave the garage door open or unlocked period. And I always carry a 6'6" 3 lb. chain to lock my exspensive beater to something solid.
