And I would think black would show dirt far more readily than silver (which is why my grandfather always opted for silver cars--could go for longer periods between washings).
It's not the dirt I'm referring to. It's the oil from the chain and whatever black crap kicks up off the road. I happen to have a white bike. After every ride I have black splotches all over the bike...mainly downtube and chainstays...that I need to clean off. Bought the bike during covid times, so getting to choose colors was not an option with thin inventory.
